Getting Puppies Off to a Good Start!
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Classes are flexible, fun and practical. These
classes will meet the program requirements for AKC's new S.T.A.R. Puppy
Program and are open to all puppies (purebred or mixed breed) who will
be able to complete 6 classes before they turn 1 year old. For more

The S.T.A.R. Puppy Class will require registration for enrollment.
(Register here.) Once your enrollment and payment are received, you will
receive introductory materials via email. This will prepare you for your first
"live" class. Your payment will include 6 classes and the S.T.A.R. Puppy
evaluation. You may attend additional S.T.A.R. Puppy Classes on a
pay-per-class basis if desired.
These flexible classes will allow you to work with your puppy in a variety of
real world situations. The classes will vary in time and location, but once
your enrollment is accepted you may attend any 6 classes you choose.
The classes will be posted on the Calendar a week in advance.
Very young puppies (less than 4 months of age who have not yet received
their adult series of shots including Rabies) should attend only the S.T.A.R.
Nursery classes held at Waterhouse Animal Hospital. Once they have
received their adult and Rabies vaccination, they may attend any S.T.A.R.
Puppy Class.
The S.T.A.R. Puppy Class runs $120 which includes the enrollment
materials, 6 one-hour classes of your choice to be completed before your
puppy reaches one year of age, free enrollment in the Basic Manners
Online course and the S.T.A.R. Puppy evaluation. Attending additional
S.T.A.R. Puppy classes (optional) beyond the first 6 classes runs
$20/class.
