Stacie's Training Philosophy
Dogs are creatures with innate needs for consistent structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship from and with their human pack members that must be met for them to live a balanced existence. Once that balance is provided, dogs can be taught to do almost anything for us we take the time, effort, patience and creativity to teach them and will do so joyfully.
I believe in pulling from a broad spectrum of training methods and techniques to teach people how to communicate, build trust, foster obedience and have fun with their dogs utilizing praise and play as their primary motivators/rewards with treats and corrections incorporated on a more limited basis.
Dogs are abundantly gracious and resilient creatures with exceptional loyalty and inspiring enthusiasm for life. For anyone who understands the undeniable truth that sharing life with a dog is a privilege rather than an entitlement and a blessing rather than a burden - I would be honored to help you and all the dogs in your family enjoy a healthy and fulfilling relationship.

Stacie's Dogs
- Austin, a 6 year-old, male Vizsla has been a cherished member of Stacie and her husband Dan’
s home since he was a puppy.
o Austin is AKC certified, has graduated through the advanced level of obedience classes, has been trained in and performs well in upland bird hunting, and competed in U-FLI sanctioned flyball tournaments.
o He has participated extensively in babysitting, traveling, and mingling with people and dogs of all shapes in sizes in all kinds of places, earning his way even into places that have otherwise been inaccessible to non-service animals
- Childhood pets included a Springer Spaniel named Molly during Stacie’s preschool years, and
a Samoyed named Sasha that she raised, trained and loved from late grade school through early high school until losing Sasha to cancer a precious few years into her life.
- Much of Stacie’s dog-related experience has also centered around playing with, caring for,
and assisting with the dogs of her family members and close friends that, while not actually living in her house, hold a dear place in her heart. These relationships have been with Labrador Retrievers, Australian Shepherds, Doberman Pinschers, a Bichon Frise, a Coton de Tulear, Yorkshire Terriers, Rat Terriers, Great Danes, Golden Retrievers, Border Collies, dogs in the Pitbull and Bull Terrier family, and mixed breeds among others.
