Mary's Training Philosophy
I prefer to use the positive approach but I am willing to reach into my ever expanding tool box when necessary. My training is usually individualized to each dog. Dogs have different experiences as we do and will react differently to a situation so I really don't believe one size fits all. My first goal is to create a close and happy relationship between the dog and it's handler(s). A dog that has a strong foundation in obedience and close happy relationship with their handler will always perform consistently and at a higher level in competition.
|
Mary's Education
- Studied a multitude of training seminars on DVD.
- Attended seminars held by Gary Wilkes (the clicker training guru).
- Involved with obedience classes from several trainers for 10 years.
- Worked with and trained her own dogs for 30 years.
|
Mary's Dogs
- I am continually training my dogs for the conformation ring (breed ring), obedience, rally
obedience, and starting tracking.

A Message from Mary I believe that every class should have laughs. Training should be fun and balanced with a lot of healthy communication between the trainer, dog, and handler. I am always excited and willing to work hard to see that “light bulb” moment for both my students and their companion. My goal is to help a student learn how to train their dog so that both can continue to grow when they have finished a class.
