MANNERS SERIES The Manners Series is for people and dogs who want a better relationship at home. Common behavior problems will be addressed and owners will receive skills necessary to train their dogs to be better companions. Basic Manners In this introductory class, handlers will learn about basic canine learning theory, cognitive skills and operant conditioning as training tools. Behaviors covered will include attention training, walk nicely on lead, sit, down and come when called. Additional attention will be provided to solve specific behavior problems of the dogs attending class. All training is done on lead in this class. This class is open to dogs 4 months and older. Class consists of 6 weekly sessions. Price: $120 for 6 weekly 1 hour classes.

Everything from Basic Manners in an accelerated format. Instead of classes meeting once a week for 6 weeks, classes meet twice a week for 3 weeks. Class consists of 6 bi-weekly sessions. Price: $120 for 6 bi- weekly 1 hour classes. Intermediate Manners Classes have been discontinued. Private or semi-private lessons are encouraged so that you and your dog receive exactly the training you need. PUPPY CLASSES For puppies between 8 and 16 weeks of age. Puppy Classes will include most commands covered in the Basic Manners class (sit, down, stay, come when called), advice for common puppy problems like house training, jumping, chewing, etc., and will include frequent supervised play sessions to provide the pups with the opportunity to learn how to interact and read the body language of other dogs as well as feel comfortable being handled by strangers. Puppy Classes consist of approximately 50% socialization time and 50% training time. Puppy Socialization Class Puppy class is a 4-week class where puppies will learn Basic Manners, socialize with other puppies and people and develop a wonderful outlook toward training. Training is conducted in a positive, safe manner to maximize success while having fun. Price: $80 for 4 weekly 1 hour sessions. PREREQUISITE: Puppy must be between 8 and 16 weeks old and current on vaccinations. SPECIAL CLASSES, WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Practice Workshop
the CGC test conducted by an approved CGC evaluator. Great practice for the CGC evaluation! Look for this workshop just before a CGC evaluation is scheduled! This workshop will run for 1 hour. Price: $25 Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluation The Canine Good Citizen program is a certification program designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Program stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club. Complete test items are found at the AKC website. Price: $25 per dog tested.
Private training is available on a limited basis within the Fresno/Clovis area. Additional fee may be charged for specialized training requests or out-of-area in-home visits. Private in-home lessons run $75/hour. Semi-Private training is also available. Train with a friend (or two) and split the cost! Up to three handlers/dogs may train during the same lesson. Train together, have fun and save!! OTHER SERVICES Board & Train Dogs will be boarded at Kim's home, given supervised playtime (with other dogs, if social) and will receive training as agreed upon. These services are especially beneficial for correcting problems related to house training, crate training, shyness, jumping, overall household manners, etc. Space is very limited to ensure that dogs receive adequate attention and training time. PLEASE NOTE: While your dog will be trained during the time period, there will need to be ongoing maintenance training at your home to retain behaviors. If nothing changes in the dog's environment when he/she returns home, expect the same behavior as when he/she left. Rates begin at $300/week (rates may vary depending on training requested).
